——Shahu community carries out Lantern Festival activities
As the Lantern Festival approaches, under the leadership of Biling Street and Shahu Community Party Committees, the Shahu Community Party and Mass Service Center launched Lantern Festival activities at the Shahu Community Civilized Practice Exhibition.
First of all, community elder volunteer Aunt Tian shared the local Lantern Festival practice with everyone. Under her leadership, everyone shared the Lantern Festival in their hometown one by one. Immediately afterwards, volunteer Aunt Tian demonstrated step by step the steps of mixing proportions and dough. Everyone followed Aunt Tian to make them one after another, and pink and green yuanxiao came into view one by one. The atmosphere at the scene was harmonious and filled with festive peace.
Finally, everyone sat around and ate the exquisite and delicious Yuanxiao. While eating delicious food, everyone was thinking about their expectations for the new year and discussing their expectations for service in the new year. Sister Zhong recalled: The past three years were like a dream, and now she is looking forward to returning to life in the new year.
This event attracted about 30 people, including epidemic prevention volunteers, elderly volunteers, women volunteers and senior citizens’ associations. This Lantern Festival event allows these volunteer friends to gather together to spend the Lantern Festival and imagine a better life in the community.
